PartyPoker
Introduction
PartyPoker is one of the largest poker sites online in terms of traffic and has been open since 1997. Their main focus is Texas Hold'em, Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo, but you can also play Double Hold'em, 7 Card Stud and 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo here.
PartyPoker has a gambling license from Gibraltar and the site is available in circa 15 different languages. The site stopped accepting U.S. players in 2006 when the Safe Port Act was put into force by U.S. lawmakers. (Play money games are still available for U.S. players.)
PartyPoker is owned by PartyGaming Plc, the same company that owns PartyCasino, PartyGammon och PartyBingo. The company is headquartered in Gibraltar and the stock has been traded on the London Stock Exchange since 2005.

Software
PartyPoker use proprietary software and offers both client play and browser play. The poker client only work with Windows, while browser play is available regardless of your computer's operative system. Browser play offers slightly fewer features than the poker client.
If you want to increase security, you can order a token from PartyPoker. The token generates a single-use code every time you wish to log in, and it is not possible to log in without it. Having access to your user name and password will thus not be enough to access you account once you've started using the token.
Tournaments
PartyPoker has a broad tournament selection, especially if you want to play No Limit Texas Hold'em. There is for instance a No Limit Texas Hold'em $300 000 GTD every week, where the buy-in is $215 or PartyPoker points.
PartyGaming – the company that owns PartyPoker – have purchased the rights to World Poker Tour (WPT) and is now promoting the tour heavily through satellites online. Satellites are also available for other major tournaments, such as Aussie Millions and World Series of Poker (WSOP).
